In Gaiman I Trust-“American Gods” Series Coming to HBO

Despite all of the doomsayers, I have to say that I am very, very certain that the world will not end in December of 2012.  It can’t, because, for the first time in my life, I am definitely considering subscribing to HBO.  According to published reports, sometime in 2013, HBO will be airing a series based on Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. This is probably hardly news at this point, as the Geek world resonated with the fans who saw that on the internet squealing “yes!” with girlish glee, regardless of actual age, gender, or physical appearance. When you think of a sneak peak for an upcoming film, you usually think it will be at a theater or on a dvd release right? Well Target stores have decided to exclusively debut the sneak peak of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 at its stores. So if you haven’t had enough of Bella and Edwards weird romance, then the sneak peak is something you will definitely want to be present for. Hunger Games Sequel: Catching Fire Gets Release Date

Mostly, it is odd to green light a sequel before the original has come out, but if you have read The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, they you can see why its not so strange after all.
