Columbia Pictures have released an 8 minute trailer for the David Fincher film, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. The film stars Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is the first part adaptation of the trilogy written by Stieg Larson entitled “The Millennium Trilogy”.

The film adaptation was written by Steven Zaillian, and also stars Christopher Plummer, Stellan Skarsgard, Steven Berkoff, Robin Wright, Yorick van Wageningen and Joely Richardson.

The film follows Journalist Mikael Blomkvist played by Daniel Craig, is aided in his search for a woman who has been missing for forty years by Lisbeth Salander who is going to be played by Rooney Mara, a young computer hacker.

The film is set to hit theaters December 21st.
