Graphic Novel Last Man Standing Heads To The Big Screen

Variety recently reported that David Leslie Johnson has been hired by Paramount Pictures to adapt the graphic novel, Last Man Standing. The graphic novel was written by Daniel LuVisi. The full title is “Last Man Standing: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter”.

Johnson has a few major projects already under his belt such as The Walking Dead, Orphan, Red Riding Hood, and upcoming film, Wrath of the Titans. It has also been reported that Scott Aversano will produce the feature and LuVisi is going to produce as well. Peter Levin, Russell Binder and Stephan Lokotsch are also going to work on the project as executive producers.

The official description of Last Man Standing is as follows:

“a character bible and prologue book that introduces you to Gabriel, the hero of our story, as he personally unravels to his audience the intricacies of his world, set in a time-transcending and parallel universe that is inhabited by a roster of colorful and deadly characters. Join Gabriel in his quest for revenge and the journey he will embark on by traveling through more than 200 pages of history, character art, bios, and other forms of pleasure and pain.”

Oh, and in case you were looking to buy this graphic novel, good luck. Amazon is selling a copy for merely $600.00. Don’t believe me? Check it out here.

For it to be that expensive, it better be a FANTASTIC story and artwork. I am interested to see how it translates to the big screen.
