The highly anticipated film for next year, The Hunger Games, has released its new poster and it looks awesome.

The new poster was revealed as a result of a contest in which contestants had to assemble 100 pieces of the puzzle to view the new poster.

The Hunger Games is a film adaptation of the book series by Suzanne Collins. It is the first book in the trilogy and the second book has already be optioned to become a film with a projected release date of November 2013.

The series and first film is set in the future where young boys and girls from different districts have to fight to the death on live television in order to gain provisions for the homes. Our heroine, Katniss Everdeen ends up volunteers for the death match in order to save her sister from having to participate.

It is also set to star Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Toby Jones, and Donald Sutherland.

It is coming to theaters on March 23, 2012 and so far seems to be one of the most anticipated films of the new year.
