Sarah Jessica Parker Replaces Demi Moore

Former “Sex and the City” star, Sarah Jessica Parker, has officially signed on for the upcoming Lovelace biopic. She is set to replace Demi Moore as the feminist activist Gloria Steinem.

According to the EW, she has taken over the role after Demi Moore dropped out last week for health issues.

This Lovelace biopic comes from Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. The film stars Amanda Seyfried in the titular role of Linda Lovelace. She stars opposite of Peter Sarsgaard.

Lovelace is based on the biography writen by Eric Danville entitled, “The Complete Linda Lovelace.”

The film follows Linda Boreman as she rises to fame as the iconic porn star of 1972’s Deep Throat. It also features her subsequent transformation into feminist, anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano. The story is told through the perspective of three interviewers at various stages of her life.

Sarah Jessica Parker will be portraying Steinem in a cameo role after Moore had to drop out due to her health issues in which she says she is being treated for “exhaustion.” This has come after her recent and highly publicized divorce from husband, Ashton Kutcher.

Now in production in Los Angeles, the supporting cast of Lovelace includes Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone, Chloe Sevigny and Juno Temple.

This film shouldn’t be confused with the competing biopic that stars Malin Akerman.
