The Hunger Games film just hit theaters and fans are already clamoring over who will play the characters of Finnick Odair and Johanna Mason in the sequel adaptation of Catching Fire. 

The director, Gary Ross, recently sat down and answered some questions regarding the sequel, which he is planning to direct as well. Unfortunately, however, Ross has stated that he has no idea who will play the role of adonis victor Finnick.

I’m only just getting finished with this,” Gary said, “I have not had a chance to focus yet. I’m really looking forward to it, but that moment hasn’t happened yet.”

Ross does blame himself though for the outcry for answers regarding the casting.

 I mean, somewhere—I know it was in the press, I said I had an idea for Finnick Odair. But I don’t, really. You start to have ideas as you read, obviously I read the books several times, and I went, oh, this guy might be good or that guy might be good. And then I made the terrible mistake of saying that to the press.”

He did assure fans that the casting would be taken very seriously though.
