First Image From The Walking Dead Season 4 Revealed

AMC recently began filming the fourth season of their hit series, “The Walking Dead” and today officially revealed the first image from the upcoming season. Scott Gimple will replace Glen Mazzara as the series’ showrunner for the season in the upcoming season and David Morrissey will return as antagonist: The Governor.  You can see the first image featuring Rick Grimes, played by Andrew Lincoln, above.

Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman and published by Image Comics, “The Walking Dead” stars Andrew Lincoln, Laurie Holden, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, Chandler Riggs, Lauren Cohan, Scott Wilson, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green, Emily Kinney, David Morrissey and Danai Gurira.  Larry Gilliard, Jr. will be joining the cast in a regular role as Bob Stookey, a former Army medic.

The series continues to be incredibly well received by critics and fans. It has received several award nominations including ones for the Writers Guild of America Award and a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Series (Drama). The series has also attained strong Nielsen ratings, surpassing various records for a cable series, including receiving 12.4 million viewers for its season three finale to become the most-watched drama series telecast in basic cable history.

“The Walking Dead” will return this October with another 16-episode season.
