AMC’s massively popular series, “The Walking Dead,” is almost back with it’s third season and to tide us over till October, Entertainment Weekly posted new pictures featuring some of the new characters.
Season three also holds an interesting and dire conflict between Rick’s group and a new group of survivors lead by the Governor (David Morrissey).
The first photo is of the new character Michonne played by Danai Gurira and Andrea, played by Laurie Holden. As you can see, this is a production shot, as Michonne’s “pet” walker (Thesay West) is wearing blue-screen gloves so that he’ll appear armless in the final version.
The next photo released features Andrea (Holden) and the new character The Governor, played by David Morrissey.
The last photo released shows our group leader, Rick, played by Andrew Lincoln and Daryl, played by Norman Reedus. Frankly they look very unhappy and we can guess it has something to do with the new setting of Woodbury.
EW also has additional cast photos, and a look at the zombie transformations of some of the walkers, including what Michonne’s “pets” look like before and after their walker transformation (which includes losing their arms and jaws). Check that out here.
The Walking Dead Season 3 premieres October 14 on AMC.
