According to a recent report from Deadline, Leonardo DiCaprio is eyeing the upcoming big screen adaptation of the novel, “Blood on Snow.” DiCaprio is looking to both produce the production as well as potentially star. The novel was written by Joe Nesbo. Warner Bros. is negotiating the rights to the tome for DiCaprio’s Appian Way.
“Blood on Snow” marks the first book written by Nesbo under his new nom de plume, Tom Johansen. It follows a hitman who is tasked with offing his boss’ wife only to find that he’s fallen in love with her. Two literary sequels are already planned and, in the third, Johansen himself becomes a character.
In addition to DiCaprio, Appian Way’s Jennifer Davisson Killoran will produce alongside Kevin McCormick of Langley Park.
There is no word yet on when the film will begin production or who else is being looked at to star. Maybe this time, DiCaprio will get the Oscar he so rightly deserves.
