300 Gets A Sequel And Maybe Eva Green

The 2007 smash hit action film, 300 is getting a sequel and word is that Eva Green is eyeing the lead role.

The Hollywood Reported recently reported that  300: Battle of Artemisia might have their leading lady in the form on actress Eva Green.

Green is best known for her role in Casino Royal as Vesper Lynd and has also appeared in the television series, Camelot.

300 was originally based on the comic book of the same name written by Frank Miller (you might recognize his name from the popular film Sin City which was also based on his work).

The sequel will not be based on the comic but will tell the story of Themistocles who was a Greek General. Themistocles led Athens against Persian invaders which actually takes place simultaneously to the battle that takes place in the first film.

There isnt much word yet on who else will star in the film or when it will be released.

I have to say that I don’t feel like 300 needed a sequel. I also feel that with out Frank Miller being involved that it won’t be as good of a project.
