Demi Moore, recently signed on to appear in the new Lovelace biopic, according to Variety. She will not be playing the lead role but has signed on to play a cameo role.
Moore will take the role of feminist activist Gloria Steinem in the biopic. The project is from Rob Epstein and Jeffery Friendman and is a rival film project of the other Lovelace film entitled, Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story.
The film will star Amanda Seyfried in the titular role opposite of Peter Sarsgaard.
Lovelace is based on the biography, “The Complete Linda Lovelace” written by Eric Danville. It will follow Linda Boreman as she rises to fame as the iconic porn star in the film, Deep Throat, in 1972. It also follows her transformation into the feminist and anti-porn activist Linda Marchiano. Reportedly, the story will be told through the prospective of three different stages of her life.
Moore has recently appeared in Another Happy Day, will not be the only actress to make a cameo. It was also revealed that James Franco is looking to make an appearance as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
Now in production in Los Angeles, the other members of the cast of Lovelace includes Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Bobby Cannavale, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
