Hack/Slash Gains New Director And New Life

Heat Vision recently reported that Marcus Nispel has officially signed on to direct the adaptation, Hack/Slash. This adaptation has long been in development and seems it is finally moving forward with a new director signed on.

Nispel is most noted as being at the helm of the production of the ok film, Conan the Barbarian, and Fredrik Bond was previously attached to be the director but was replaced with Nispel. Alexandra Milchan, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter are producing the Relativity project.

Hack/Slash is a horror comic book series that was created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli.  The comic follows the adventures of Hack, a young woman who travels to small towns across the country hunting slashers.

Nispel as a few other well known films under his belt, including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Pathfinder and Friday the 13th and he is currently also developing a horror movie titled Blackmask.

There is no word yet on any prospective actors yet or when the film will begin shooting and or be released. But stay tuned for more updates.
