New Poster Released for The Raven

A few weeks ago we brought news about the new John Cusack movie, The Raven. And now we have a new poster for the upcoming film! If you are a fan of Edgar Allen Poe, then you will want to see this project, because it definitely gives the life and stories of the famous writer new life.

Entertainment Weekly debuted the new poster courtesy of Relativity Media yesterday. The Raven is being directed by James McTeigue and stars John Cusack, Luke Evans, Alice Eve, Brendan Gleeson and Oliver Jackson-Cohen.

This isn’t just another remake of one of Poe’s horror tales, instead its a different take on his life and the horror tale that made him famous.

In the film, Edgar Allen Poe, being played by Cusack, joins up with a young and tenacious Baltimore detective to capture a mad serial killer. The killer strikes using Poe’s own works as the basis for how he kills his victims. The film stars when a mother and daughter are brutally murdered in 19th century Baltimore. When it is realized that the murders match that of the works of a struggling writer named Edgar Allen Poe, they enlist the writer to figure out who the next victim may be.

Personally, I plan to see this film. I have read many of the story by Poe and am curious which stories they are going to use in this tale.

The film’s release date has been pushed back, however, from March 9th to April 27th.
