New Walking Dead Midseason “Nebraska” Teaser Trailer

Last week we debuted a clip from the new midseason premiere of “The Walking Dead” and now comes a new teaser trailer directly from the official website. The midseason starts off with the eighth episode from the second season. The episode is entitled, “Nebraska” and is the first new episode of the season since last November.

“The Walking Dead” is from AMC and is a post-apocalyptic series following the Zombie Outbreak. It is based on the ongoing comic book series: The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.

The series follows Andrew Lincoln as Sheriff’s Deputy Rick Grimes who wakes up after being in a coma to find the world inhabited by zombies. In season one, he sets out to find his family. When he eventually does, he joins their team of survivors navigating what is left of the United States.

The second season follows the group as they leave Atlanta and decide to head toward Fort Benning. Much of the second season centers on the interpersonal relationships of the group of survivors which is strained when Sophia gets lost in the woods and Carl is accidentally shot.

It has received wide acclaim and landed on various best television show lists including one of the lists that a staff member here wrote.  The first season was nominated for several awards, including the Best Television Series Drama at the 68th Golden Globe Awards.

Based on its reception, AMC renewed the series for the second season of 13 episodes which premiered on October 16, 2011.  Two episodes into the second season, AMC announced that the show would return for a third season.

Season two was broke in half after episode 7, with the second half of season 2 returning Sunday, February 12th.
