According to a report from Deadline, Scott Rudin, the producer behind Captain Phillips has officially optioned the film rights for Sheri Fink’s recent book, “Five Days at Memorial.” The novel is an in-depth investigation into hospital practices affected by hurricane Katrina. Rudin will produce alongside Eli Bush.
