Game of Thrones Season 6 Blu-ray and DVD Coming in November

Along with all their other announcements about season 7, HBO has also announced that the Game of Thrones Season 6 Blu-ray and DVD has a release date for November 15, 2016. The series will be released digitally on August 1.

The bonus content for the digital release of Game of Thrones Season 6 will include:

Special Features for Batman: The Killing Joke Blu-ray Revealed

“Batman: The Killing Joke” is almost here and in the mean time, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment  have revealed all the details on the special features for the upcoming Blu-ray release. “Batman: The Killing Joke” will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on August 2. You can pre-order your own copy by clicking here. However, if you can’t wait for the physical release, the film will be available on Digital HD July 23.

The animated adaptation is based on the graphic novel written by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland which was published in 1988 and is widely considered to be one of the best comic book stories of all time. It follows the tale of  The Joker’s origin story – from his humble beginnings as a struggling comic, to his fateful encounter with Batman that changes both of their lives forever. In the tale we watch helplessly as The Joker terrorizes Commissioner Jim Gordon and ultimate paralyzes his daughter, Barbara Gordon. Although the story was not originally supposed to take place in the regular DC Comics continuity, the graphic novel wound up setting in motion the events that would lead to Barbara Gordon becoming Oracle.

Actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill reprise their “Batman: The Animated Series” roles as Batman and The Joker, respectively.

This year’s most popular movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, is set to release on DVD and Blu-Ray Combo Pack on December 9, just in time for the holiday season!

25th Anniversary Blu-ray for Tim Burton’s Batman Revealed

Warner Bros. has announced plans to release a 25th Anniversary Edition of Tim Burton’s iconic film adaptation of Batman. The Blu-ray edition will release on November 11.

Despite being a 25th Anniversary Edition, the release will have basically the same special features as previous releases. The only difference being an addition titled “Batman: The Birth of the Modern Blockbuster.” The feature allows you to discover how the film’s marketing, extensive merchandising and franchise foresight set the template for the next 25 years of tentpole pictures.

About the Movie

In 1989, director Tim Burton breathed new life into one of the most complex and intriguing characters in popular culture. Burton cast off the 1960s camp depiction of the Dark Knight and launched for Warner Bros. one of the most popular comic book film series ever. Batman was the top-grossing movie that year and subsequently became a global phenomenon.

The Walking Dead: Season Four Hits DVD and Blu-ray August 26

“The Walking Dead: The Complete Fourth Season” will release on DVD and Blu-ray on August 26. The news was announced by Anchor Bay Entertainment. The release will contain five discs while the Blu-ray set will include Digital HD with Ultraviolet versions with episodes presented in pristine 1080p high-definition and lossless Dolby TrueHD 7.1 audio.

The DVD and Blu-ray releases will include several hours of bonus features such as never-before-seen production footage, deleted scenes and audio commentaries, with ultra-exclusive content only available on the Blu-ray release, including additional audio commentaries and several “extended” episodes, debuting for the first time.

The fourth season’s cast starred Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, David Morrissey, Melissa McBride, Chad L. Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney. New characters introduced this season include Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz), Bob Stookey (Lawrence Gillard, Jr.), Rosita Espinoza (Christian Serratos) and Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermott).

Season Four will also see a limited edition “Tree Walker” package release which you can above!

Season four saw Rick and his fellow survivors struggle to maintain their idealistic lifestyle in the prison in the face of threats, including the proliferation of walkers near the prison gates, the outbreak of a contagious and deadly flu-like infection within the prison population, and the spectre of The Governor, whose whereabouts and status are unknown. The second half of the season mainly focuses on the individual groups that escaped from the prison after its downfall, and their efforts to survive as they follow a line of railroad tracks to a supposed safe zone named Terminus

Amazing Spider-Man 2 Releases on Blu-Ray in August

The official Blu-Ray and DVD release of “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” is set to hit shelves on August 19. It will also become available on Digital HD two weeks beforehand on August 5. 

The Blu-ray extra features will include 13 deleted scenes with one titled “Peter Meets His Father.” Other features available on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Blu-ray are a filmmaker commentary and a making-of documentary that details the filmmakers and cast’s approach to the blockbuster sequel. The package also boasts the music video for “It’s On Again” by Alicia Keys.

In addition to the regular Blu-Ray and DVD releases, there also will be an Electro collector’s edition set for The Amazing Spider-Man 2, also coming out August 19.

Amazon has listed The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Electro Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray set for $150. It comes with a replica of Electro’s head as the case. The back of his neck stores two Blu-Rays — including the 3D version — and a DVD.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 stars Andrew Garfield,Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Campbell Scott, Embeth Davidtz, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, and Sally Field.
