Creep Out With New Photos and Trailers for Stephen King’s Bag of Bones

Okay! I’ll admit there’s nothing creepy about the photos but the trailer and behind-the-scenes look at Stephen King’s Bag of Bones more than makes up for that. You might want to turn the lights on before viewing… unless a girl doing the freaky jerky-head thing underwater is your thing.

King’s Bag of Bones is headed to A&E in December and it looks like this two-part mini-series will have plenty of chills for everybody. I’m a big King fan but not a big fan of all the movie and TV adaptations that have been done from his work. When it comes to TV, The Stand wasn’t bad and It was awesome… although there was room for improvement in the acting department.

However, it looks like Bag of Bones will claim the #1 spot in my heart when it comes to TV adaptations because I think the spookiness has been captured perfectly, which is sort of a requirement when you’re talking about a ghost story. Of course, there’s always the chance that all the best parts end up in the trailer and what’s left is total crap, but I’m willing to give the show a chance.

While the videos from BloodyDisgusting have all the right creepy vibes, the pics revealed on the Bag of Bones Facebook page leave a whole lot to be desired, but even the scariest movie loses its power when it’s frozen in still shots, so I’m not going to let the lame photos affect my judgment.

In Bag of Bones, Mike Noonan (Pierce Brosnan) returns to the lakeside retreat he shared with his wife, who is now deceased. Once there, he winds up in the middle of a custody battle between the daughter of an attractive young widow and the child’s so-wealthy-it-should-be-a-sin grandfather. He also gets involved in a decades-old mystery that he’s led to by ghostly visitors that want secrets from the past unburied.

Bag of Bones will be rising up on your TV on Sunday, December 11th and Monday, December 12th.
