Pinocchio Comes To Life (Yes, Pun Intended)

Why? I don’t know why either, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. is developing a new live-action take of the tale of Pinocchio.

It was first announced in 2010 that the Pinocchio remake was going to be produced by Dan Jinks with a script from Bryan Fuller. But recently it was revealed that the studio was working with Tim Burton to direct the feature and have Robert Downey Jr potentially star as Geppetto.

Pinocchio was most famously adapted by Walt Disney Pictures in 1940, but the story was originally a novel written by Carlo Collodi in 1881.

Currently there is also another adaptation in the works dueling that of the Warner Bros. prodcution. The other being a stop-motion feature that being created through the Jim Henson Company with a script from Guillermo del Toro and Gris Grimley.

Lets just hope that either one these remakes is better than Pinocchio’s Revenge.
