The first official featurette for Summit Entertainment’s Divergent has been released online. The video explores the different factions within the story. Divergent is a thrilling adventure set in a future world where people are divided into distinct factions based on their personalities. Tris Prior (Woodley) is warned she is Divergent and will never fit into any one group. When she discovers a conspiracy to destroy all Divergents, she must find out what makes being Divergent so dangerous before it’s too late.

The film is based on the novel of the same name written by Veronica Roth which was released in 2011. The second novel in the trilogy, Insurgent, was released on May 1, 2012. The third and final book, Allegiant, is expected to be released on October 22, 2013 in the US. Divergent won Favorite book of 2011 in 2011’s Goodreads Choice Awards. Also, Divergent was number one in the Teens’ Top Ten Vote, sponsored by YALSA. It also won the Sakura Medal Contest.

Divergent opens in theaters and IMAX on March 21, 2014,. The big screen adaptation stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Kate Winslet, Ray Stevenson, Mekhi Phifer, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney, Miles Teller, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Ben Lloyd-Hughes, Ben Lamb, Christian Madsen, Amy Newbold, Ashley Judd and Tony Goldwyn.
