HBO Adapting The Leftovers For Television

HBO has officially confirmed that they are teaming up with Warner Bros. Television to bring the novel, “The Leftovers” to television. The pilot episode was approved and picked up by the network to become a series. It comes from executive producers Damon Lindelof, Tom Perrotta, Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey, Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger. Peter Berg directed the pilot and HBO has made a commitment to produce a further nine episodes to make up the first season. Continue reading

Derek Cianfrance, most known for his work on Blue Valentine and The Place Beyond the Pines has announced his plans to helm the DreamWorks Pictures adaptation of the novel, “The Light Between Oceans.” David Heyman (“Harry Potter”) will produce for Heyday Films with Jeffrey Clifford.
