HBO has officially confirmed that they are teaming up with Warner Bros. Television to bring the novel, “The Leftovers” to television. The pilot episode was approved and picked up by the network to become a series. It comes from executive producers Damon Lindelof, Tom Perrotta, Peter Berg, Sarah Aubrey, Ron Yerxa and Albert Berger. The upcoming big screen adaptation of the novel, A Slight Trick of the Mind has added Sir Ian McKellan to the cast. The film is based on the novel of the same name written by Mitch Cullin.
