The God of Driving Optioned by Dignity Film Finance

“The God of Driving: How I Overcame Fear and Put Myself in the Driver’s Seat (with the Help of a Good and Mysterious Man),” by Vanity Fair special correspondent Amy Fine Collins, has been officially optioned by the film production and finance company Dignity Film Finance (DFF). The novel was first published in 2011 by Simon & Schuster.

Casting is currently underway with the project set to start shooting in Spring 2014. Sales will launch at Berlin 2014. Continue reading

Scarlett Johansson Moves Forward With Directorial Debut

Scarlett Johansson is set to make her directorial debut with a big screen adaptation of Truman Capote’s first novel “Summer Crossing.” The novel was written by the famed author in the 1940s. Capote eventually cast it aside and it was thought to be lost for over 50 years, but was eventually published in 2005. Palacio’s recent bestselling novel, Wonder, was first announced last November by Lionsgate and at the time John August was in talks to write the screenplay.
