Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man Trilogy Gets the Blu-ray Treatment

The official website for Marvel Entertainment has just announced the return of Sam Raimi!  Well, not Sam Raimi per se, but the original Spider-Man films the he directed.  This time they’re coming to Blu-ray and in a brand new special edition packaging. “But that’s not all.  There’s more!”  Each package will contain Movie cash for the release of Sony’s July 3rd release of The Amazing Spider-Man.

This looks an awful lot like how the Star Wars saga churned out their reproductions.  This is truly the merchandising that comes out when companies turn to the dark side.  At least each of these Ultraviolet digitial copies comes with a bucket full of features.  Let’s look at the list below; and hope that we see stuff with Bruce Campbell in it *SQUEE!*

Not exactly the hippest pieces of cover art I’ve seen.  They didn’t even bother to clear up the yellow light refractions from Spidey’s eyes overlooking a sunny New York; probably from when they got Photoshopped.

Maybe this new upcoming Spider-Man movie is the one we deserve.  Not the one that we need.

Also nothing on the list about the Bruce. *Sigh*
