Man of Steel, the new Superman reboot has officially hit theaters and captivated audiences everywhere. If you are like me, one of the best parts of a movie is the musical score. A new featurette has been released where Hans Zimmer, the composer behind the score of the film, takes you behind the scenes of his unique work on the film’s musical side.
“The idea of the drum circle was very specific,” Zimmer told SuperHeroHype.com in a recent interview. “It’s not just to show off. When you read the names in the drum circle, it’s a jaw-dropping list, but when you think about what a string section is, it’s about individuals who are extraordinary players.
The film itself stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Russell Crowe, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff and follows a young boy who learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind.
