Colin Trevorrow, the director of the upcoming Jurassic Park 4 film recently appeared on the “Jurassic Park Podcast” to discuss the rumors surrounding the project. The film isn’t expected to hit theaters until 2015 so Treverrow has been careful not to reveal any spoilers while discussing what fans can expect.
First, regarding some of the rumors that have swirling around the internet, he said,
“I saw some of the rumors on the internet and I would have all kinds of red flags going off if I heard they were going to muzzle a T-Rex. So I would say don’t believe everything you read, there are way more insiders on the internet than there are in real life.”
He also mentions that he is making a movie not just for the money but for fans of the franchise.
“It’s important to make a movie for the fans but I also have to remember that there’s a lot of people who just couldn’t care less and need me to make a solid case for why the hell there’s a ‘Jurassic Park 4’ in the first place and I want to make a movie for them too.”
One plot point that he did confirm is that there will be a new dinosaur in the fourth installment though he didn’t mention what that would be. You can listen to the full interview with Treverrow from the podcast below:
