Trailer for Episode 2 of Game of Thrones

Telltale Games has given us an official trailer for the next installment in their “Game of Thrones” series. The next release is episode 2 out of 6 and is titled “The Lost Lords,” the episode is set to be released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PC/Mac and Steam on February 3rd, for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 on February 4th, and for iOS on February 5th.

Episode Two picks up as House Forrester is in disarray. Their liege lord and his heir are dead, and Ironrath is occupied by Whitehill soldiers. The survival of the family depends upon those who are left. Placed at King’s Landing, the epicenter of intrigue, Mira Forrester must weigh her loyalty to Margaery Tyrell against the needs of her family, while choosing how to play the political games of Tyrion Lannister. One misstep could spell doom for Mira and her entire family. To the far north, Gared Tuttle finds that the wall and its crows hold little love for a squire from the Wolfswood, but finds kinship in the bastard son of Ned Stark. Gared must prove worthy of becoming a ranger in order to carry out the mission given him; one that is vital to the future of those he serves. To the east, Asher Forrester, the exiled son, is called back to Westeros to aid his family, but how can one man help when the Boltons rule the north with an iron fist? Meanwhile, an unexpected source of hope returns to the Forresters, but Ironrath is no place for the weak.

Episode 1 is available now for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, iOS, and PC.

New Images of Charlie Cox as Daredevil

Marvel Entertainment and EW has revealed two images from the upcoming Netflix adaptation of the Marvel comic series, “Daredevil.” The series stars Charlie Cox as the titular character and you can his two different personas in the series in the images below!

“Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern-day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

Cox is most known for his role as Owen Sleater in “Boardwalk Empire.” As Matt Murdoch and Daredevil in the series. Cox is joined by Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsely aka The Owl, Vondie Curtis Hall as Ben Urich, Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley, Wilson Fisk’s right hand man, Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Fisk, and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

Marvel TV’s Jeph Loeb said,

“There aren’t going to be people flying through the sky; there are no magic hammers. We’ve always approached this as a crime drama first, superhero show second.”

Steven DeKnight, showrunner and executive producer, confirmed that Daredevil will wear his iconic red uniform in the series after he wears his black costume.

“Marvel’s Daredevil” is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios for Netflix and will debut in 2015.

Deadpool With Ryan Reynolds Set to Begin Production in March

For years fans have been begging for a Deadpool centric movie. AND IT IS FINALLY HAPPENING. After Deadline announced that the Deadpool film was finally green light to go into production, actor Ryan Reynolds confirmed the news on twitter the best way possible. You can see it below!

According to Deadline, Deadpool will begging production in March and Reynolds is reprising his role as the titular character. He previously appeared as the character in the 2009 film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine. 

There has been no confirmed plot details for the upcoming film and whether or not it plays into any of the other X-Men films.

Tim Miller is signed on to direct with a script from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The projected release date for Deadpool is set for February 12, 2016.

Official Cast Announced for Suicide Squad

After weeks of rumored casting, DC has officially announced the cast list for the upcoming big screen adaptation of Suicide Squad. The film is set to be directed by David Ayer and will release in theaters on August 5, 2016.

The cast is as follows:

  • Jared Leto – The Joker
  • Margot Robbie – Harley Quinn, the Joker’s deranged love interest and protégé
  • Will Smith – Deadshot, an assassin
  • Tom Hardy – Rick Flad, the squad leader
  • Cara Delevingne – The Enchantress

Suicide Squad follows a band of villains tasked with various governmental black ops missions to lessen their prison sentences.

AMC Officially Orders Preacher Pilot

It has been in the works for months, but AMC has officially announced that they have ordered the pilot episode to the television adaption of “Preacher!” The adaptation is coming from This Is The End writers/directors Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

“Preacher” was released in the 90’s by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. It follows a conflicted preacher named Jesse Custer in a small Texas town who becomes accidentally possessed by a supernatural force, which makes Custer a powerful being driven by a strong sense of right and wrong. Along with his ex-girlfriend and a cantankerous Irish vampire, he embarks on a journey to find God and discover his new powers.

The series was developed for TV by Rogen and Goldberg, who will direct the pilot, and Sam Catlin of Breaking Bad, who penned the script for the pilot and will serve as a showrunner.

In a statement, Rogen and Goldberg said that “Preacher has been our favorite comic since it first came out. Garth Ennis is one of our idols and it’s an incredible honor to be working on this. We promise we won’t make too many dick jokes and ruin it.”

AMC rep said in a statement,

“Every once in a while you find a project where all the elements line up beautifully. With Preacher, it starts with a bold, compelling, and thought-provoking comic book series from Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon and a whole lot of fans who already know Jesse Custer, Cassidy and Tulip. Add to that the passionate and talented Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin, an incredible producing team in Neal Moritz, the Original Film team and our good friends at Sony Pictures Television, and we have everything we need to be VERY excited to move forward on Preacher.” Consider us officially excited!

There is no word yet on who they are eyeing to star in the series.

Glenn Howerton Was Almost The Star-Lord

It is hard to imagine “Guardians of the Galaxy” without Chris Pratt in the starring role but director James Gunn revealed that it almost went to someone else. According to the director, the role almost went to “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” actor Glenn Howerton.

During GQ’s profile on Pratt for their “Men of the Year” segment, Gunn revealed that if Pratt hadn’t accepted the role in the Marvel film, that Howerton was the next in line. He said,

“Glenn came along a little bit later. But there was a good chance that, if I didn’t cast Chris, that I would’ve cast Glenn Howerton in the role.”

Howerton is most known for his role on the FXX series where he plays Dennis Reynolds while Pratt is famous for his portrayal in a comedy series as well, “Parks and Recreation” on NBC.

Pratt will return as Peter “Star-Lord” Quill in “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” in May 5, 2017.

“Constantine” to End Run With 13 Episodes

NBC has officially ended production on the DC Comics adaptation, “Constantine.” The season will end with its 13 episode original run.

“Constantine” averages 4.5 million total viewers and a 1.4 rating among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 metric, off from Grimm‘s 6.3 million and 1.8, respectively.

The series was developed by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer for NBC, based on characters appearing in the comic series Hellblazer published by DC Comics under their Vertigo imprint. Matt Ryan stars as John Constantine. It follows the titular character, a petty dabbler of the occult and a man struggling with his past sins, as he tries to protect humanity from a gathering supernatural threat.

Whether it will return for a season is still being decided but currently it isn’t looking good considering it is being pulled from the midseason schedule.

The first trailer for the upcoming new Telltale game series, “Game of Thrones” has been released. The trailer, known as “Iron From Ice” is for the first episode of the game series.

The trailer is narrated by Lena Headey who plays Cersei Lannister in the television show on HBO.  The game follows the members of House Forrester — long-time allies of House Stark. With Cersei in the mix, this doesn’t bode well for the Forresters.

Some of the television show’s cast members will reprise their roles for the game including Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer), Ramsay Snow (Iwan Rheon). More cast members are reported to join in later game episodes.

“Game of Thrones” by Telltale will be six episodes long with five playable characters from the Forrester family. It will be releasing on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PC/Mac, iOS, and “additional platforms.” We currently do not have an official release date.

Daniel Bruhl Joins Captain American: Civil War

The next installment in the “Captain America” saga for Marvel Studios, Captain America: Civil War, has added Daniel Bruhl in a mystery role.

Bruhl has previously starred in Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds, Bill Condon’s The Fifth Estate and, opposite Marvel Cinematic Universe star Chris Hemsworth, Ron Howard’s Rush. 

His role in the film will likely be announced within the next few months.

Chris Evans returns in the starring role for the third Captain America film for the Marvel Cinematic universe alone side Robert Downey, Jr. (reprising his role as Tony Stark) and the recently revealed Chadwick Boseman (debuting as the Black Panther).

Marvel President Kevin Feige said,

“With Daniel’s ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes.”

Captain America: Civil War will be directed by Joe and Anthony Russo. Look for it to hit theaters May 6, 2016.

 

Jared Leto Eyeing Joker Role in “Suicide Squad”

It is being reported that Jared Leto is looking to join the cast of the upcoming Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment project Suicide Squad. Further, according to The Hollywood Reporter, he is eyeing the iconic role of the Joker.

The Suicide Squad is also known as Task Force X was originally created by Robert Kanigher and Ross Andru. They first appeared in “Brave and the Bold” issue number 25. Its most recent iteration includes characters Deadshot, King Shark, Captain Boomerang and Harley Quinn.

Neither Leto or Warner Bros has confirmed the role. News on the casting is expected to be released within the next few days to weeks.

David Ayer is currently attached to direct the adaptation. The film is slated for release on Aug. 5, 2016.
