GOT-twitter_flayedmen-720x376

A brand new teaser (the third actually!) has been released for Telltale Games upcoming new episodic game, “Game of Thrones.” This teaser gives us a little more information regarding the setting and character of the highly anticipated release.

It should be noted that there are spoilers for the book and/or TV series if you are not caught up.

It appears that the timeframe and area for the game is in North and will focus on Stannis while he intervenes against House Bolton and House Greyjoy. However, there could also be a new story that we don’t know about being presented in the familiar territory.

IGN attempted to contact TellTale to confirm the storyline but were unable to get any information.

More information will likely release soon! For now you can watch the teaser below:

Warner Bros. Reveals Huge DC Movie Plans Including Justice League

dcplansmain

Last week Warner Bros. revealed some very exciting news in the comic book movie adaptation realm. The studio announced their major plans for future films based on DC Comics’ series and heroes.

According to several tweets from Ben Fritz, which you can see below, there is a full schedule prepared for various comic book adaptations for Warner Bros. The schedule begins with the release of Suicide Squad in 2016 after the current upcoming film Batman Vs. Superman.

In 2017 we will supposedly get our first superhero movie focusing on a female lead with a Wonder Woman film. I’ll believe it when I see it though. In 2018 we get an Aquaman film which is exciting followed by a Shazam project.

You can see the tentative schedule below which is planned as far ahead as 2020.

  • Aug. 2016: Suicide Squad
  • June 2017: Wonder Woman
  • Nov 2017: Justice League
  • March 2018: The Flash
  • July 2018: Aquaman

Legendary TV Developing Series Based on Computer Game Myst

myst-header-1

According to a report from Deadline, Legendary TV is teaming up with the company Cyan Worlds to create a television series as well as a companion video game based on the popular video game “Myst.”

“Myst” originally released in 1993 but was followed by several sequels and ports to other consoles. The game follows players on a mysterious island, where they must venture out to explore its grandeur and mystery. “Myst” sold over 8 million copies and has ended up on countless “top games” lists. It is described as “a chilling tale of intrigue and injustice, defying all boundaries of space and time.”

This will be yet another attempt at trying to translate the game into another medium. In 2002, back when SyFy was still The Sci-Fi Channel, they attempted to make the game into a miniseries but it never actually happened.

“Cyan’s goal in working with Legendary is not just to create a compelling TV drama but to develop a true transmedia product that will include a companion video game that extends the story across both media,” the company said. “Seventy percent of tablet owners use their device while watching TV at least several times a week. Cyan sees the potential to push the boundaries of interactive storytelling to a new level.”

There is no word on when the project will head into production.

TellTale Games Confirms The Walking Dead Season 3

As if this was  actually a question, but Telltale Games announced during the Skybound Entertainment panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 that their game “The Walking Dead” will continue on for a third season.

Unfortunately they did not give fans very many details about what the next installment will include. They also could not confirm when the game will release. Understandably Telltale is a bit busy as they are planning to release “Borderlands” and “Game of Thrones” this year.

The Telltale series takes place in the same fictional world as the comic book series from Robert Kirkman and the AMC series, with events occurring shortly after the onset of the zombie apocalypse in Georgia. Some characters from the original comic book series also make in-game appearances.

Hopefully Season 3 of “The Walking Dead” game will release sometime in 2015.

With E3 in full swing, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions have released a brand new trailer for the upcoming game, “Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.” The gameplay video is entitled, “Shadow of Mordor Gameplay – Nemesis System Power Struggles.”

The new trailer features the nemesis system in the game as well as how the stats appear and the personality of each nemesis. Each nemesis appearance and personality is different for every player. No one will have an exact same nemesis as someone else as the game generates unique, dynamically created enemies.

“Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor” delivers a dynamic game environment where the player orchestrates their personal plan of vengeance as they bend Mordor to their will. The game begins on the night of Sauron’s return to Mordor, as his Black Captains brutally execute the Rangers of the Black Gate. Players become Talion, a ranger who loses his family and everything he holds dear, only to be returned from death by a mysterious Spirit of vengeance. Based on the player’s actions with the in-game Nemesis System, every enemy encountered is distinct and can evolve to become a personal archenemy through the course of the game. As Talion’s personal vendetta unfolds, players uncover the mystery of the Spirit that compels him, discover the origin of the Rings of Power and confront the ultimate nemesis.

The game will be available worldwide on October 7, 2014 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. You can watch the E3 gameplay trailer below:

The next chapter of “The Wolf Among Us” will release next week on May 27 for PC, Mac, and PlayStation Platforms. It will then hit Xbox 360 on May 28, and iOS devices on May 29. A new screenshot was released which you can see above though it doesn’t seem to reveal very much.

Episode 4 of the TellTale Games series is titled “In Sheep’s Clothing.”

“The Wolf Among Us” is set in the year 1986, decades before the events of the first issue of Fables (the comic book series the game is based on.) For years, many of the magical and mystical lands described in myth, legend, and folklore (known colloquially as “the homelands”) have been occupied by an enigmatic tyrant known only as the Adversary. To escape the Adversary’s marauding armies and totalitarian regime many creatures and characters known as “fables” fled to the mundane world and created an enclave known as Fabletown in colonial America, now located in modern-day Manhattan. To mask their presence from the native humans (referred to as “mundies”) all non-human fables have to purchase an enchantment known as a “glamour” which allows them to appear human, or be relocated to a rural community known as “The Farm”. The reformed Big Bad Wolf, Bigby Wolf (voiced by Adam Harrington), is the sheriff of Fabletown and is responsible for hiding the community from the wider world and enforcing its laws.

Remember, if you bought the season pass then you’ll get episode 4 for no extra charge. It will cost $4.99 to everyone else.
