The Undertakers Novel Series Gets Optioned For the Big Screen

Jamie Foxx Reveals Electro’s Voice in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Jamie Foxx recently appeared on “The Tonight Show” to talk about his upcoming role as as Max “Electro” Dillon in Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film The Amazing Spider-Man. The studio hired James Vanderbilt to write the screenplay and Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to re-write it. Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Denis Leary,Colm Feore, Chris Cooper, Sally Field, Chris Zylka, Marton Csokas, and Felicity Jones are set to star. Marvel’s The Avengers 2 Eyes Aaron Taylor-Johnson For Quicksilver

While I had desperately hoped that the announcement that Quicksilver would be in both Marvel’s The Avengers 2 and X-Men Days of Future Past meant a burgeoning partnership to end all partnerships of comic book movie adaptations. It seems it will not happen. The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Teaser Poster And New Trailer Revealed

The first official teaser poster for the second installment in Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit trilogy known as The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug has been revealed. Glenn Close Joins Guardians of the Galaxy Cast

Glenn Close has officially joined the cast of the Marvel Studios film, Guardians of the Galaxy. Close will play the leading member of the intergalactic Nova Corps according to a report from Deadline. Close, whose big screen credits range from The World According to Garp to 101 Dalmatians to Mars Attacks! is also well-known for television appearances including recently headlining the television series “Damages” over five seasons.

Part of Marvel Studios’ “Phase Two,” of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy features a script from Gunn, Chris McCoy and Nicole Periman. It follows an unlikely cast of characters who must team up in order to defeat a cosmic force of epic proportions. Continue reading

The Finest Hours To Be Directed By Robert Schwentke

Robert Schwentke, the director behind the films, RED and R.I.P.D., is reportedly in talks to direct Walt Disney Pictures’ The Finest Hours according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by  Casey Sherman and Michael J. Touglas and was originally published in 2009.  Continue reading
