Races are cool and races that can result in death are even better, but you have a sure hit on your hands when you have the racers riding flesh-eating horses, so Warner Bros seems to know what they’re doing now that they’ve picked up Maggie Stiefvater’s YA novel, The Scorpio Races, for the big screen.

The much loved Dr. Seuss children’s book, The Lorax is being made into a feature length animated film from the same people who created, The Despicable Me.
The film follows Ted, a young boy with idealistic tendencies who wants desperately to find the one thing that will win him affection of Audrey the girl of his dreams. To do so, he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
This film is going to have an all star cast: Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Ed Helms, Betty White and even taylor Swift! It is set to release March 2, 2012, which would have been the 108th birthday of Seuss, who died in 1991 at the age of 87.

The one thing I really enjoy about reading the books that we will talk about on Optionated is that for the most part, they are books that people have heard of. You can often find yourself in a group of people and if you want to talk about this book you may have someone to speak with. Well I can tell you due to a power outage I was able to read the book in one sitting from start to finish and I just loved it. It was almost impossible to put down, but now that I go back and think about it I did have a few scenes that just did not feel great to me.
